Indiana ranks 20th among the best states for beekeeping, according to a new list from LawnLove.com. Michigan finished 11th.

The metrics used to populate the list considered the number of honey-producing colonies, the value of their production, the amount of honey suppliers in the state, and the number of apiculture classes.

Bees are vital to our ecology, and if you’d like to do your part to help turn your backyard into a pollination paradise, visit the Lawn Love website for tips and to find a professional to help you.
