South Bend woman convicted for shooting, killing boyfriend in front of children

A South Bend woman has been convicted by a judge for the shooting death of her boyfriend in the presence of her children.
It was April of 2022 when Marqisha Thomas, 28, took aim on Civon Green, 28, behind Nuner Elementary and Fine Arts School on Northside Boulevard.
Reports indicate that Thomas fired the fatal shots at Green while her children watched from inside her vehicle.
In addition to the murder charge, Thomas faced a formal accusation of a felony firearm enhancement.
Up next is Thomas’s sentencing hearing, which is set for June 21. She faces up to 85 years in prison.
