Trial of Buchanan attorney charged with criminal sexual conduct postponed until late July

(95.3 MNC)
The trial of a Buchanan attorney charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct has been postponed until late July.
Lanny Fisher’s case is now being heard by Judge Michael McKay from Van Buren County after all Berrien County judges recused themselves.
The allegations against Fisher include coerced sexual acts, prostitution-related offenses, and span over a decade from 2010 to 2022. The Herald Paladium reports some of the alleged acts happened at his home and office. Two counts involve victims ages 13 and 15.
His next pre-exam conference is set for July 26, followed by a preliminary hearing on August 1.
