Man jailed after trying to escape police on motorcycle

A man is in jail after he tried to escape police on a motorcycle. Officers went to County Road West 400 North in Angola Sunday after someone complained about an “invasion of privacy.”

WANE 15 reports that 48-year-old James Slabaugh II was not supposed to be at that house due to a protective order.

Officers say he tried to get away. However, he eventually crashed and was taken to the hospital before heading to jail.

He is facing charges including Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle.
