The next phase of the US 31 reconstruction project begins next Wednesday.

INDOT says the work at the U.S. 20/U.S. 31 interchange will start on or after June 7, and will see traffic on 31 switched to the newly constructed northbound lanes under the U.S. 20 bridge. The southbound lanes will be closed.

These new restrictions will be in effect through mid-September. During this project, crews will also resurface U.S. 31 between Jackson Road and just south of Ireland Road.
