A suspect sought in connection with a deadly shooting in South Bend, which resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two women has been apprehended.

It was back on April 12 when investigators say Keith Hardy, 23, took aim on Marlon Hudson of Gary in the 700 block of Phillipa Street.

According to court documents, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between the two, who were positioned on opposite sides of the street.

Hardy allegedly fired the gun toward Hudson, hitting him. A woman standing close to Hardy was also hurt, but survived. An associate of Hudson’s then allegeldy fired back, missing Hardy but unintentionally hit another woman in the hip.

Hardy was taken into custody on Thursday, June 1, by members of the South Bend Police Violent Crimes Unit.

All these folks need gun safety classes and more time at gun range.

Nah, they don’t need guns at all until they’ve learned how to use their constitutional rights without endangering the rest of civil society. This story is a good example of why the 2nd Amendment exists…folks need to defend themselves against the predators who exist and won’t follow the laws of a civil society.
