The latest Drought Monitor shows that more than half of Indiana is abnormally dry, but portions of northwest Indiana are under severe drought.
Most of northern Indiana is under moderate drought.
When severe drought happens, there can be water shortages and loss of crops.

Jon this is the time when fireworks are shot off.
Years ago in Irving, TX, I took my young family to 4th of July area show. Grass fires broke out and spread quickly towards the parking area of the mall where we were parked.
Please let people know of the grave dangers and damage potential for drought. Our area of Michiana has not been this dry during this time for several years.
Thanks,
