Indiana unemployment rate at 3.1 percent for May

Indiana’s unemployment rate in May stands was 3.1%, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
By comparison, the national unemployment rate for May was 3.7%.
Private sector employment in Indiana decreased by 2,300 jobs over the last month, but still resulted in a gain of 66,500 jobs from this time last year.
As of June 1, there were more 124,000 open jobs in Indiana.

So we cripple the economy with a forced lockdown, vaporizing millions of jobs and then as those jobs slowly reopen we count them as “new” to make the numbers look good.

Remember also, once your unemployment payments run out you are no longer considered to be “unemployed”, even if you are still not working. It really is a meaningless metric.
