Three-vehicle crash leaves two injured, one dead

A three-vehicle crash on M-43 left two injured and one dead.

Michigan State Police is investigating the crash that happened after a police pursuit on Monday.

They say a motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds when it struck a Ford pickup that was backing out of a driveway.

The truck was then hit again by a Bangor Police Department patrol vehicle that was attempting to stop the motorcycle.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries, and the Bangor officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries
