One hurdle has been cleared in the effort to bring new life to Concord Mall.
Developers with Industrial Commercial Properties LLC presented their plans to the Elkhart Planning and Development Committee on Wednesday evening.
Those plans include bringing multi-family housing, retail, restaurants or other types of businesses to the property.
The committee unanimously approved the proposal, however, that’s just one step in the process. The full city council will vote on the plans during their meeting in early July.
Developers are hopeful they’ll be able to start work on the property this year.
