Attorney General Todd Rokita takes Target to task over LGBTQ Pride merchandise

Attorney General Todd Rokita is leading a public effort to put Target on notice over its LGBTQ Pride merchandise.

Rokita and six other state attorneys expressed “legal concern” to Target’s CEO about the promotion and sale of some products, citing obscenity laws and new laws regarding transgender identities.

In the letter, the merchandise is referred to as “potentially harmful products to minors,” and it stated that launching the collection may have been a negligent act from Target’s leaders.

According to Rokita, he wrote the letter as a counterbalance to one signed by other attorneys last month that expressed concern over Target’s removal of some of the merchandise.

If you don’t like the merchandise, don’t buy it. Walk past. Don’t shop at Target. Rainbows and Love is Love clothing is not going to ruin children’s lives! Seriously. When will this discrimination end? Let people be who they are!

Idk anything about the merchandise but I’d bet a million dollars is wasn’t just rainbows and love clothing. I don’t think obscenity laws apply to those items. Keep trying to make it seem like everyone’s a homophob though.

“According to Rokita, he wrote the letter as a counterbalance to one signed by other attorneys last month that expressed concern over Target’s removal of some of the merchandise.”

If your side wants to have attorneys strongarm companies into pushing your agenda, then you should be OK when the sane people use attorneys to push back. I also find it interesting that your side is totally not interested in letting people be who they are, instead seeking to force acceptance and compel speech from people who disagree with you.

Nancy, you are correct…let children be children and don’t try to shove this crap into normal people’s faces.

I myself don’t want to see or hear about how people live their lives. I don’t agree with it. I do not shove my lifestyle down their throat, but I am supposed to let them do it to me, my child or grandchildren. NOWAY!!! I don’t care what they do, I don’t want to see or hear about it!!

Todd Rokita also needs to write a scathing letter to the City of Indianapolis for blatantly ignoring state law with their worthless gun control effort. It is illegal and they know it.
