Benton Charter Township Supervisor announces re-election bid

(95.3 MNC)

The Benton Charter Township Supervisor has gotten the jump on the 2024 election, and announced that she’s running for re-election. Supervisor Cathy Yates says she has already decided to run for another term, and has a vision for the township.

WSJM reports that Yates has served in various roles in the township since 2012, first as trustee and then being appointed Supervisor after the untimely death of her predecessor, Kevin White.

Yates says she wants to hear from the community on how to bring businesses back and is looking to the future as they bring in more shopping in the township.
