Town council members in Wakarusa have approved spending nearly $15-thousand to install four Flock Safety cameras to monitor traffic safety.
Wakarusa Police are concerned about reckless drivers, speeders and overall traffic safety and they are hoping the extra surveillance will help officers reduce such incidents.
The Goshen News reports the town’s Marshal Tim Hershberger, brought up an uptick in motorcyclists traveling at speeds of 80-to-90 miles per hour and the danger of initiating a pursuit for police and the public.
Council members gave unanimous approval for a one-year trial basis.
