Indiana was listed as one of the 10 worst states to live and work in according to CNBC’s annual list.
The Hoosier State ranked 7th overall on the list.
The list cited poor childcare as a primary reason for the ranking.
Indiana only has 10 licensed childcare facilities per 100,000 residents which may make it more difficult for adults to enter the workforce.
Indiana is second lowest in the nation for childcare facilities only above Louisiana which ranked third on the list.

Im assuming that the bottom of the list are so called “red states”, considering the source of the poll.

CNBC rates their states on the amount of socialism. Indiana being at the bottom of the list means it is a great place to live and work!

Perhaps Hoosier mom’s choose to care for their children personally rather than hand them off to others to raise. The source of the story is a Marxicrat propaganda outlet.

Although there may be a few mothers who choose to work but many, it is out of obligation, to provide for their children that they must work and as a result, they must have childcare. Your comment feels a bit ignorant in my opinion and especially with a user name “slacker”. Just sayin…

Providing “free” childcare so a parent can work and pay less in taxes than the “free” childcare costs every week is NOT a good deal for everyone else.

Put the costs of raising the kids on the solely on the parents, where it belongs.

I live here in Indiana and raised my children too, I never had a problem with child care. Both my kids are now wrong successful adults. The problem with the state of Indiana is their ass backwards on their programs here. Here if you don’t work and just pop out kids you can live for free. Basically having your rent page or utilities getting food stamps insurance and so on. But not if you’re a working tax paying person trying to make it honest living. Indiana is absolutely b*******. Getting help from any programs when you have a job is a joke here. That’s the joke with this whole country right now is your reward laziness and stupidness and confusion. Our country needs to get s*** together not only each individual state but all of us. The rest of the world is laughing at us because of all this retarded ignorant s*** that’s being let go on…

Miss Mounts
I agree with what you have said.If u work there is no help out there. That’s is because the people running the state was given a silver spoon in there mouth. They have no idea what it’s like living paycheck to paycheck. They have never struggled in there lives.

Let me get this right: Disregarding reproductive rights is a bad thing, yet desiring to get pregnant only to choose to terminate it is something that’s considered honorable, is it?
I’d rather live where denying abortion is championed, pedos are jailed for their crimes, and permits for Pride parades are routinely rejected if that’s what keeps my family, community and our children protected from those who seek to devour their innocence.
Maybe that’s the worst state in Union, but I’ll bet the streets are clean and the last thing on anyone’s mind is “Are my children safe at school or the mall or the beach?”

That’s right, Indiana is a terrible state to live in, please don’t come here. Stay in your blue state and enjoy the entertainment rich environment and crime free streets.

Yeah when we had an emergency and my MIL couldn’t watch the kids anymore we contact 14 different daycare and there was no space for my kids… luckily we found one and then after we were established it seemed we were able to find more pretty easily… our kids go to a school where they have a before and after school program where the daycare is at the school… have had no more issues… working in indiana sure beats illinois though so I’m happy with it here

There should not be a free lunch for anyone…period…dot…exclamation point. Your free lunch is somebody’s labor, it is government enforced slavery. I have to work for you for you to get your ‘free’ benefit (and pay off all the levels of government managing the money on its way to your free lunch).

**** off slaver.

Indiana was a great state to live and work in. Maybe the present leadership could be the problem. Just a thought.
