Cass County man charged with animal cruelty, abandoment has been sentenced

The Cass County man arrested after 107 animals were found on his property has been sentenced.

On Friday, July 21, Robert Dean Archer II was ordered to seven days in jail and two years of probation for animal cruelty and abandonment.

The animals found on the property included dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, mice, snakes, Guinea pigs, turtles and a crab.

The animals were given to farmers, shelters and owners that officials deemed responsible.
