New footpath for Notre Dame/St. Mary’s open

The new footpath for the campuses of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s is finished.

And it will mean some traffic changes for St. Mary’s Road. The school says the path is open for use for Notre Dame and St. Mary’s students, staff, faculty and visitors, as well as those from Holy Cross who walk or bike to and from both campuses.

The 10-foot-wide runs along St. Mary’s Road to Holy Cross Drive near the Peace Plaza, and features security enhancements like new LED lighting and security cameras.

The access gate for St. Mary’s Road at 933 has been moved back and will only be accessible to essential vehicles and Holy Cross Congregation member vehicles as of August 1.
