St. Joe County Commissioners have amended the leaf pickup program contract.

The county was recently notified that the cost of disposing leaves at the Organic Resources Facility in South Bend was going to increase by more than double.

So, the county commissioners amended the contract to create alternative sites at some county highway garages as well as at privately owned properties.

They also amended the contract to provide users a subscription rate that won’t increase for 10 years.
