A bicyclist is injured after being hit by a pickup truck in Elkhart County.

It happened around 5:15 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 10, on State Road 13 just south of County Road 26.

Police say that the bike and the truck were both going south , when the truck hit the bicyclist while trying to pass.

The bicyclist, a 63-year-old Goshen woman, was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old truck driver from Goshen was not injured.
