A Bristol man crashed his car after suffering a seizure behind the wheel.

The collision happened around 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, when the 30-year-old was traveling eastbound toward the intersection of State Road 120 and County Road 17 and ran off the road and struck a mailbox and a tree.

A witness on the scene who saw the crash ran to help the driver. The witness told police the driver was convulsing. Medics say the driver appeared to have been some sort of seizure which resulted in the loss of consciousness.

The driver was conscious and breathing after the seizure and had complaints of pain, though his injuries were deemed minor.
