South Bend budget talks underway

The Mayor of South Bend and other city leaders met earlier this week to discuss a spending plan for 2024.

Mayor James Muller presented the funds in five categories.

They include strong neighborhoods, budgeting for $18.2 million. Safe communities budgeting for $13.4 million. Sustainable infrastructure, budgeting $1.6 million. Equal access to opportunities, budgeting $8.9 million. Youth and workforce development, budgeting almost $16 million.

It sounds like way too much government spending, for a college town with a high crime rate.

Looks like another $58.1M leftist wishlist boondoggle. South Bend is getting the government they deserve.
