MedFlight was back in service at the end of the week for LaPorte County after a rotor blade was damaged on its helicopter.

Court documents say 44 year-old Duane Lowery of LaPorte was outside of Franciscan Beacon Hospital on Saturday when he threw a rock at the helicopter as it was preparing to take off. The rock dented one of the blades.

Lowery is facing charges of criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement, and public intoxication.
