South Bend Schools looking into career hub

The South Bend Schools are investigating a possible new career hub.

The hub would work to provide students with career paths that would help them prepare for post-high school graduation life.

Wednesday night the school board approved a resolution to explore leasing space at the old Studebaker plant near Four Winds Field. Elkhart has a similar career center.

WSBT reports the curriculum the career hub would use has already been introduced in schools, but there would also be dual credit opportunities to help prepare them for the real world.

The associated costs are being explored and it’s hoped the project could be finished by 2025.

How stupid an idea is this? SBCSC just voted to close buildings that they own, plus they have other empty buildings they own, and now they want to rent another building?
All I can think of is “stupid is as stupid does” and “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”
They need to teach classes on common sense, not only to students but to the Administration.
