Get ready for some blues in Elkhart.

After 16 years, the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back the Island of Blues Festival.

It features local BBQ and desserts, a beer tent, kid’s activities, a Jeep show, and live music from blues musicians.

Local bands include The Q Sonics, Bobby Hunt and the Day drinkers and more. There will also be a BBQ sauce competition for the food vendors.

It’s open on Saturday, Sep. 16 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Island Park in Downtown Elkhart.

Admission is free.
