Goshen Health launches project to increase physical activity

Goshen Health has launched a project to increase physical activity in local parks.

It’s a collaborative project with grant funding from the Indiana Department of Health.

The Park Bench Fitness program works by scanning a QR code found on signs near benches in parks.

Community members then have access to free exercise videos that give participants an opportunity to get a full body workout using nothing more than the park bench.

Project partners include Elkhart County Parks, as well as Goshen, Nappanee, City of Elkhart, Syracuse and the City of Warsaw Parks & Recreation.
