Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is warning about shipping scams.

He’s telling Hoosiers to watch for texts and emails informing them of shipping and delivery issues with items they’ve supposedly ordered.

It’s in an effort to steal personal information and lure victims into unknowingly download malware onto their electronic devices.

Rokita says that these emails and texts have links to help track the package, but in reality, those links connect to malicious websites.

If you believe you are the target of a scam attempt, you can file a complaint at in.gov/attorneygeneral/ or call 1-800-382-5516.
