La Casa de Amistad has been awarded the largest grant in the organization’s history.

A $1 million grant was awarded to them by the Lilly Endowment Inc. in order to strengthen their youth programs across a three-year timeline.

With the grant, the organization will be able to expand youth programs for K-12 bilingual students and their families, invest in classroom technology, improve its facilities, hire more specialized staff and more.

Executive Director Juan Constantino says the grant will amplify the organization’s impact on the future of its youth, families and community.

More money to help illegal immigrants “integrate” like that is what they are going to do as opposed to bringing their own personal hell here with them.
