Woman injured during late Wednesday night shooting in Elkhart

A woman was injured in a shooting in Elkhart.

The Elkhart Police were called around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, to the 300 block of W. Jefferson St. in Elkhart and found the 34-year-old victim inside a home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

An officer and then medics rendered first aid at the scene. Medics transported the woman to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, no arrests have been made and this is an active and ongoing investigation.
