Former NFL player Sergio Brown, who disappeared after his mother’s murder in September, has been arrested and is expected to face first-degree murder charges once he’s back in Illinois.
The arrest warrant for the 35-year-old retired football played is related to the killing of his mother, Myrtle Brown, 73, and was issued by Maywood, Illinois police.
Her body was found, last month, in a creek near the home they shared in the Chicago suburb.
Brown, who had traveled to Mexico, was taken into custody by authorities south of the border and deported to San Diego, where he was cuffed.
Myrtle Brown died from injuries sustained during an assault and her death was ruled a homicide.

Just another upstanding athlete to be looked up to as an idol. Or maybe stop watching grown men play with a ball and thinking they are something to be admired.
