A man was killed on a construction site last week.

According to the Elkhart County coroner, Rodolfo Nunez, 49, was involved in a fatal accident while performing maintenance on a paving machine near US-20 and County Road 27 just before 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.

It appears that he became entangled in the machine’s auger.

Nunez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner’s initial findings indicate that Nunez sustained multiple blunt force injuries, and his death was accidental.
