Recent expansion of China-owned land in the United States is raising concerns and introducing a bill that would cause restrictions.

That’s according to Bridge Michigan.

They say that over the past year, there have been conflicts between the two countries on policy issues that have led to proposals to block some real estate investments by China-based companies.

With most of the U.S. property that Chinese companies own being agricultural land, there is a concern for young and beginning farmers and the rising price of land.

A bill by multiple representatives would prohibit certain foreign ownership of certain real estate, making farmland purchases by Chinese entities difficult
