You hear a lot of talk about public safety programs and how they can make your neighborhood better.
Now $6 million is on the way as part of the Comprehensive Strategy for Reducing Violent Crime, instituted by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
What that means is Indiana is receiving all that money to help fund state and local public safety programs.
That can be anything from US attorneys, who help convicted violent criminals, or hiring more police.
Part of that 6 million dollars will also go towards security improvements in schools.
