Indiana State Police investigating crash on U.S. 6 in Marshall County
The Indiana State Police are investigating a crash involving three vehicles that shut down U.S. 6.
It was around 8:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, when Indiana State Troopers responded to a call about a crash involving multiple vehicles on U.S. 6 near Sycamore Road. Troopers arrived to find a semi on its side blocking both westbound and eastbound lanes of the highway.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound when it failed to stop for the stop sign. As the Nissan went thorough the stop sign it collided with the left side of a 2023 Freightliner semi and trailer that was traveling westbound.
The collision caused the semi to roll onto its side.
The driver of the Nissan, a 17-year-old juvenile, was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The driver of the Freightliner was not injured. A gray 2019 Nissan Rogue also received minor damage in this crash. The driver was not injured.
U.S. 6 was closed for nearly three hours for the investigation and clean-up.
