Firefighters respond to residential chimney fire

The South Bend Fire Department responded to a residential chimney fire.

The fire occurred just before 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, in the 1000 block of East Dubail Street.

Firefighters brought the fire under control with the use of a dry chemical extinguisher.

All of occupants got out of the structure, safely, with no reports of injuries to the residents or any firefighters.

So far, there is no word about the origin or cause of the blaze.
