South Bend Common Council approves up to $36 million in bonds for sewer system upgrades

The South Bend Common Council this week approved up to $36 million in bonds to pay for upgrades to the sewer system.
The council believes the project will be done in several phases and improve the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, upgrade electrical work, and repair sewer lines.
