A 13-year-old girl operating a horse and buggy was hurt after a crash with a vehicle.

The collision happened around 4:40 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at County Road 34 and County Road 31 when Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators say the teen was pulling out from some property onto County Road 34 and pulled into the part of a Chrysler 200 being driven by a 19-year-old Goshen woman.

The driver of the car was not able to stop and struck the buggy, which flipped onto its side. The teen girl complained of pain.
