Candlelight ceremony at Pinhook Park for those who suffered loss of a child

In South Bend, it was a night of reflection and remembrance for those who have suffered the loss of a child.

A local group organized a community gathering for a candlelight ceremony at Pinhook Park on Sunday night.

The Angel of Hope, initiated by community members to provide a dedicated space for families to commemorate their children, materialized as a memorial garden designed with this specific purpose.

The special ceremony served as a unifying moment for families to honor their departed loved ones. Julie Harris, a board member of the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden, emphasized, “The candlelight service is a means to remember the loved ones we have lost, especially children.

Personally, having lost my son, it is of immense importance for me to disseminate information within the community about this available space for everyone.”
