A Michigan City man was sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of production of child pornography.

31-year-old Opediah Barnett allegedly persuaded two separate minors he met online to send him images of child sexual abuse material.

The incidents happened in July of 2021 and January of 2022, and reports say Barnett also traveled out of state in an attempt to meet with one of the minors.

He was sentenced to 292 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release and $6000 in restitution.
