Colts lose to Texans in final game of regular season

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

The Indianapolis Colts lost a close one on Sunday in their final game of the regular season. Indianapolis would fall short to the Houston Texans by a score of 23 – 19. The defining play of the game came in the fourth quarter with roughly one minute left to play, as the Colts were working the ball down the field. Down by six, a 4th and 1 play call saw quarterback Gardner Minshew drop back and pass to Tyler Goodson. The pass was slightly behind Goodson who turned around to receive when the ball tipped off his fingers and hit the grass, causing a turnover on downs. Week 18 had multiple possible outcomes, with the Colts still being able to win the AFC South going into the game. A loss however means that with a 9 – 8 record Indianapolis will miss the playoffs again for the third year in a row.
