A Goshen man is facing prison time for drug-dealing related charges.

24-year-old Luis Florez-Pizana was sentenced to nine years for dealing in cocaine. According to the Goshen News, several other charges related to the case were dismissed via plea bargain.

Florez-Pizana became the target of an Elkhart County Intelligence and Covert Enforcement Unit in April of 2021, and his home had been under observation for nearly three months before a source participated in several purchases of cocaine from the man.

During a traffic stop for moving violations in June of 2021, police claimed the vehicle smelled like marijuana.

Florez-Pizana was searched, and police found marijuana in baggies, cocaine in baggies, a digital scale and more evidence of dealing.
