The man accused of burglarizing the Hoosier Harley Davidson in Elkhart had his initial hearing on January 8.

Elkhart police say 33-year-old Adrian Graves had smashed open the front window with a baseball bat before entering the building and smashing display cases and property inside the cases.

Police took Graves into custody without further incident, and they say he did not actually take anything from the building.

According to the Goshen News, Graves allegedly told police that he learned he had inherited the business a few years ago but only recently found out and was attempting to remove anything that wasn’t Harley Davidson brand.

Graves told the courts he is hoping to hire his own attorney. His trial is set for October 21.
