Four students from Schmucker Middle School were taken by ambulance to the hospital after experiencing medical reactions.

It happened around 12:30 Thursday afternoon. St. Joseph County Resource officers are still working with school staff to determine the cause, but unconfirmed initial information is that the students ingested THC gummies.

The students were reported to be were alert. Their families have been notified.
