It’s been a busy start to the weekend for South Bend firefighters.
Several firetrucks were called around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, to the 700 block of North Elmer Street.
Crews arrived to find a home completely engulfed in flames.
It took around 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
Nobody was home at the time. There were no injuries reported.
Crews were then called, several hours later, to a home in the 1000 block of West Oak on the report of a fire.
One adult escaped the flames.
There were no reports of injuries.
As of Saturday morning, investigators had not announced the cause of either fires.
