Man accused in death of 3-year-old set to face 77 years in prison

It’s a guilty verdict for a man accused in the death of his 3-year-old daughter.
Trevion Shaver, 23, has been convicted for the October 2020 murder of Kardié Rose Weathersby of South Bend.
According to court documents, the toddler was dropped off in a hospital emergency room  with severe head injuries. She died two days later.
At the conclusion of the bench trial, last month, the judge found Shaver guilty of murder and aggravated battery.
He faces up to 77 years in prison.
His sentencing is set for early March.
