He returned to the scene of the crime and got caught. A burglar in South Bend is now in jail after he went back to the business he broke into the same day he committed the crime.

Adam Spencer, 37, is charged after the owners of the Dainty Maid Food Hall say someone broke in and took around 40 bottles of top shelf liquor and cash. The owners called the cops and they got a good look at the perp on surveillance cameras.

As they were moving on with the day, the owners say they then saw Spencer riding a bike outside the Food Hall and jumped at the chance to follow him. That’s when they saw Spencer unloading the good he made off with.

The owners called the cops and they moved in and arrested Spencer. He’s in jail on burglary charges and for charges regarding an unrelated warrant for his arrest.
