The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post is investigating a shooting that occurred on I-80/94.

The preliminary  investigation shows that at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 17, a crash occurred on I-80/94 near Burr St.

The investigation shows that the driver of a 2009 Ford Escape was struck by gunfire and as a result, crashed the vehicle into the median wall.

The driver was transported to the hospital for treatment.
