Four people connected to Goshen School Board alleged illegal campaign funds arrested

Four people have now been arrested in Goshen, accused of filing a fraudulent report for accepting money in another person’s name in the 2022 school board election.

Goshen School Board members Jose Elizalde and Mario Garber were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 21, along with former candidate Andrea Johnson. All three were processed at the Elkhart County Jail.

Roger Nafziger was booked on Thursday, according to Real News Michiana.

A retired schoolteacher, Sue Neeb, reportedly gathered contributions of nearly $12,000 without getting necessary information from the donors and giving the money to former Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman to be given to the campaigns.
