Saint Joseph High School in South Bend has revealed their new mascot.

Formerly known as the Indians, they’ll now be the Saint Joseph Huskies.

The decision came after months-long deliberation by the Mascot Adoption Committee, which considered feedback from the school community and evaluated data from surveys.

The committee weighed three options-Buffalo, Huskies, and Rams-before ultimately recommending the Huskies to the School Board.

The decision was based on how well each mascot aligned with the school’s values and principles.

The school plans to unveil the Saint Joe Huskies’ new look and merchandise by the fall of 2024.
