The Parent Coalition is co-hosting a virtual community empowerment meeting from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 & A Night of Remembrance & Truth-Telling in-person gathering on March 14.
Each month during their virtual Community Empowerment Meetings, a new person/family will be highlighted in sharing their Truth, surrounding child safety in our schools and communities.  This month’s meeting on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, from 630pm-730pm introduces their first mother-daughter Truth-Telling session.  There will be collective listening, followed by community discussion related to the family’s experiences surrounding child safety, bullying, mental health, and suicide prevention.
In addition to this month’s Community Empowerment Meeting, the Parent Coalition is asking the community save the date for an upcoming in-person event, A Night of Remembrance & Truth-Telling.  Rio’s Rainbow, Parent Coalition for Child Safety & Wellness, and Braving Connection have partnered to co-host the gathering to honor the two-year anniversary of the passing of Rio Allred and the several other children lost to suicide in our local communities.  All are welcome and invited to join from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Calvary United Methodist Church, which is located at 2222 W. Indiana Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516.
