Terry McFadden stepping away from WNDU anchor desk

It’s the end of an era for Michiana on Friday night’s 6 p.m. newscast.
After four decades in the broadcasting industry, Terry McFadden is stepping away from the anchor desk at WNDU/NewsCenter 16.
A local product to his core, McFadden is a South Bend St. Joseph and University of Notre Dame graduate who spent a number of years anchoring the local newscasts with his older sister, Maureen McFadden, who retired five years ago.
Maureen, or “Mo,” as he always called her on the air, will come out of retirement for the special 6pm newscast.
Terry McFadden’s replacement on the 5 and 11 o’clock news will be George Mallet.
