Latest on efforts to keep Clay High School from closing

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

There’s more information on Clay High School and those who want to save it from closing.

A new proposal wants to repurpose the building, but has been tabled. South Bend Schools did not say what this new use would be.

The Career Academy Network said in December that they would like to keep Clay open as a charter school.

The reasons for the closing of Clay include questions about money, declining enrollment, and the cost of renovating the building.
